Alberta Lampkins is an author, educator, motivator, mentor, and community leader. She is the Affiliate Director of a youth mentoring program, a part-time Adjunct Sociology Professor at Fayetteville State University, and holds a full-time position with the Federal Government.
Alberta is also the founder and publisher of A.L. Savvy Publications, an independent self-publishing company she created in 2014.
Alberta is the author of Extracting the Good: The Importance of Self-Love, Teach Me How to Fly, and visionary of Messages to Our Children and Speak Young Brown People, Speak. We are Listening.

Alberta holds a Master of Arts in Sociology from Fayetteville State University. Her graduate research project on HIV testing among African-American women was proudly accepted for scholarly publication in the Journal of Research on Women and Gender, Texas State University.

Alberta is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Alberta is married to Command Sergeant Major Retired Al Lampkins. Together, they have two fantastic adult children, Alexis and Ahmad, and one very handsome grandson, Elijah. Their family is soon to grow.

Alberta Lampkins is a native of Buffalo, New York. However, she resides in North Carolina with her family.

Alberta Lampkins is an accomplished mentor, community leader, author, and outspoken advocate for self-improvement. Alberta holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Fayetteville State University, where she assists part-time as an Adjunct Professor of Sociology. She has more than thirty years of experience in the human service field. She fulfilled her Adult and Child Protective Services Social Worker role and currently serves in the federal government. As the spouse of a retired US Army Command Sergeant Major, Alberta achieved great success as a Military Family Readiness Group leader, volunteer, and senior spouse throughout the thirty-one years her husband honorably served.
Her passion and love for encouraging and motivating friends, family, colleagues, seniors, and children to overcome difficulties has led her to become a mentor and leader in her community. She and her husband lead and direct a non-profit mentoring organization focusing on youth and family empowerment.
Always an advocate for self-development, Alberta desired to write a book, which she calls her blueprint to become the best version of herself and share it with others. Extracting the Good: The Importance of Self-Love is the perfect blueprint for this power-packed workshop.

When Alberta began working on her book, Extracting the Good: The Importance of Self-Love, each chapter served as a source of strength and guidance for her life’s journey. She discovered how divine self-love is and the importance of being the best version of yourself. Her book moved her, she turned it into a workshop, and she wants to impart the discovery of gratitude and how to embrace self-love with YOU.
